ACCESSIBILITY
This Website has been designed and programmed according to the guidelines of WAI initiative (Web Accessibility Initiative, www.w3.org/wai), that sets international standards for creating Web content accessible for everybody.
To make this Website more accessible, several measures have been taken::
- Logical order in displaying elements for linear reading.
- Simplified browsing system, no drop-down menus are used.
- High contrast of contents and menus
- Text size: every content is textual and scalable for a better reading.
- User friendly printing: if user has access to style display, printing will be more structured and clear.
- Document types: every downloadable document specifies its file format and size.
- Accessibility in textual contents: every template where the contents of the accessible Website are gathered, has been created according to WAI accessibility criteria.
- Images: alternative texts to images have been added, so that display readers allow users to interpret images.
- Keyboard shortcuts: special key combinations have been enabled as shortcuts in order to speed up browsing with the keyboard.
- Language identification: all of the pages, as well as applications and documents inserted, identify the language used for the contents if different from English.
- Javascript code removal: this code type has been removed as many users and browsers don’t have it enabled. This prevents accessing the contents.
- Tables: Every table in this Website contains the necessary code for the correct understanding through voice browsers and the correct linear reading.
- Compliance with NI4 protocol: By following N14 protocol guidelines, a more intellectual accessibility has been achieved.
