2nd Local Meets Europe: Designing a Toolkit Customized to European Public Authorities Needs on CSR

Objectives:

This year the event focused on CSR Vaderegio current project: Designing a Toolkit Customized to European Public Authorities Needs on CSR. We disseminated main findings of the Market Research, led by ESADE, and gave public authorities an opportunity to view and test the first draft of the online Toolkit, led by AGENDA Social Responsibility in Scotland and Responsible Business Forum.

Audience:

All main stakeholders involved in CSR and public authorities around Europe, mostly main regional delegations in Brussels.

Contribution:

The audience was encouraged to actively participate in the discussion about the online Toolkit and made valuable contributions in terms of content, design and language. The participants will soon receive a link to the Toolkit demo and they will be able to try it in more depth.

Content:

First ESADE, the partner in charge of carrying out the market research to find out the needs of local and regional authorities on CSR, disseminated the main findings. Second, the Toolkit team, that includes RBF and Agenda, showed a demo version of the online Toolkit and explained it in detail. Finally we received the first impressions of the audience that will be taken into account to refine this application

Conclusions:

CSR Vaderegio received positive feedback from the audience and support from main European institutions (DG Employment, DG Enterprise, DG Regio, CoR). Next steps will be taken to further refine the final version of the Toolkit to the needs of local and regional authorities.
