
CSR-Vision
There is no over arching vision for CSR in London. However many of the visions for London are relevant to CSR. These include the creation of strong and diverse economic growth; strengthening social inclusion; and improving environmental management, for example in recycling, transport and climate change.
Political powers
The government of London has powers over subjects related to CSR in fields such as: promotion of local economic, social and environmental well-being.
Since 2000, London has had a two-tier structure of local government, the Greater London Assembly (GLA) and borough councils. There are 32 London boroughs, together with the corporation of the City of London (See Fig. 1). It has responsibilities for a range of city wide policies. The GLA is formed from a directly elected Mayor and a separately elected Assembly. The first Mayor and Assembly were elected on the 4th May 2000 and took up their responsibilities on 3 rd July 2000

Other Details: Financial and business services are the key sector in London’s economy. Over and above their direct contribution to GVA, the activity that they generate helps to sustain many other industries such as transport and communication, restaurants and hotels.
