Tracking framework

This section of the toolkit leads you to taking action. It will start with self-assessment, so you will be able to track where is your organisation now, and where it wants to be in the future. By taking the test, you will get a list of ideas with suggested actions as well as useful tools to take them forward.

This tracking framework is to help you to define a path that meets your particular ambitions for CSR development. Public authorities committed to CSR often evolve their practice through some typical stages:

1. Starting Off
2. Getting Going
3. Growing Capacity
4. Reaching Out
5. Showing Leadership

In combination, the following 10 categories form the basis of the assessment:

  • Familiarity with CSR
  • Current scope of activity
  • Reasons to pursue it
  • Degree of business involvement
  • Integration across functions
  • Stakeholder involvement
  • Integration in regional strategy
  • Internal application
  • Recognition of success
  • Participation in wider networks

Find out where you stand by going through each of the categories. Under each category you need to select where you are now and where you want to be in 2 years. Please use either Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox (download here) web browsers for filling the test. Unfortunately the system does not work with Safari.

After completing the test you will receive a diagram describing your learning path and customised suggestions for further actions.
